Pastor James D. Stewart

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:14-15

Our Founder
Our Leader

Pastor James D. Stewart received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior on April 12, 1987 in Aliquippa, PA. At the age of 17, God delivered him from the street life. Upon his salvation, Pastor James D. Stewart submitted himself to be fathered by Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr.

At the Church in the Round, Pastor James D. Stewart took earnest heed to the words that Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr. spoke and the life that he lived. As a result of his hunger and thirst for righteousness, he was filled: filled with the Word, filled with Wisdom, and most of all filled with the Spirit of God. Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr. took the time to demonstrate and pour love into Pastor James D. Stewart’s life, and with humility and gratitude Pastor James D. Stewart received it, and lives a life that demonstrates his appreciation.

On March 23, 1993, Pastor James D. Stewart was licensed as a local minister under Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr. at The Church In the Round. There he served faithfully as unto the lord, demonstrating his faith by his works as he lead the Second Chance Program For Men, was the Vice President of the Street Ministries, a member of the Prison Ministry Team, and a member of the Praise Team.
